Go to the following site and learn about the cycle.
http://www.mymonthlycycles.com/

Generally, a woman is fertile approximately halfway through her cycle. The site I referenced has many article to help you learn about the process and it has a tool that helps you calculate when you will most likely get pregnant and when you will most likely get your period. You can even have them send you reminders.

Another tool they have that I use is the journal. You can track your symptoms throughout your cycle, but I use it to track my symptoms while I am on my period.

Happy reading!

PS I just have to mention -- please consider using a condom each time you have sex. : )

Look sweetie, no matter what you do there's always a chance that she'll get pregnant. Having it 1 to 2 days before she's due for her period will make it less likely for her to get pregnant, and it will also mean that you will know sooner if she is late. The easiest time to get pregnant is around the middle of the cycle, if its the average 28 days then at 13 to 14 days. Using a condom makes it something like 99.9% likely that she won't get pregnant, but they can rip, so as its her first time is a good idea to use lube as she may be nervous and not be wet enough on her own which can cause it to tear. The pill uses hormones to creat birth control and often does cause wight gain, but can also cause weight loss or pimples or pretty much anyhting, it is different in everyone. Its unlikely that she would get pregnant from the liquid at the tip of the penis before ejaculation, although its risky enough that it should be covered by a condom before touching her with it. Don't use two condoms, that'll just make them rub against each other and make it much more likely to break. Hope that helps, any more questions just send me an email. =)

The simple answer is yes, you could be.

It is not very likely. Much less likely than if you had had unprotected sex a week or two earlier. However, the body is made to reproduce. It can hold sperm for days still alive, and women have been known to have ovulation triggered by frequent sex, even out of cycle. So anytime you have unprotected sex, you can get pregnant.

You will generally have to wait until what should have been the first day of your period before taking a pregnancy test for it to be accurate. I would say that in this case with the timing, I'd try in three weeks. But above and beyond a pregnancy test, you should also be screened for STD's. Unprotected sex also means you could catch a disease. Something like 50% of sexually active women will catch HPV which can lead to all sorts of negative consequences, including cervical cancer. Being sexually active means that you have to take responsibility for your own health and the health of your partner. If you are not ready to do that, you are not ready to have sex.

Also, please be aware that a man does not have to ejaculate inside you to impregnate you. Men produce pre-ejaculate while aroused. They have no control over it, and it does contain sperm. You must use contraception properly every time you have genital to genital contact.

It would be very difficult to get pregnant at that time...You have to watch out the first and second week after your period ends....the week before you period is unlikely. But if you do not want a pregnancy you should use some kind of contraceptive.
Usually this is how it works, the egg is released from the ovaries on the first day of your period, takes about 2 weeks to travel down the falopian tubes and reach the uterus, at that point it stays there and can be fertilized for about 48 hours. But the sperm sometimes goes up the falopian tubes and the egg can be fertilized there, and the sperm can stay alive in your uterus for 5 days....But your most fertile time is about 14 days after you start your period, before that is possible.

You probably already ovulated if you have a regular cycle. If you are regular, ovulation occurs about 2 weeks after your period. Wait 19 days to take a test if you are irregular. Theres a reason for the 19 days, but I cant for the life of me remember why.

Yes, there is a possibility that you could be pregnant. There is no set time that you should wait before taking a test, you can take one now if you would like and then take the second test in the box in a week.

you can get pregnant on any of the 28 days of your cycle
and of course, some days are better than others,
but all are 'available'

had an OBGYN friend who speculated that the body was so
'pleased' to get the 'gift'

it re-arranged the time schedule and dropped the egg anyway
to get the benefit of the 'gift'

sorry

Are you trying to get pregnant...cause if your just having sex just to have sex...be ready to have your life changed, when you have a baby..and will he stick by you after you get pregnant. You both need to talk it over before you do get pregnant..I don't think your pregnant this month, maybe by next month you will be...
