No. They do that from time to time to make their selves sick and be able to get rid of the grass and stray hairs in their stomachs. I had cats for years and they did that a lot!

cats, dogs both eat grass when they have an upset stomach. its natures cure for them. nothing strange at all. cat nip is actually a grass that gives cats a buzz like weed does to humans.
