LAB! I love my lab!! Big, oafy, loyal sweetheart...just wants loads of affection, always ready to play, but knows how to enjoy a cuddle, too...my kinda animal.
Pitbulls can be great, but the aggression factor kinda scares me.
Poodle? *rolls eyes* PUH-LEEZE....
EDIT: Mrs. M...could you please tell me where to get a Lab that doesn't shed much?? Hold on...*blows dog hair off of computer screen* ok...NOW tell me...I might be able to see the screen for a few moments...

A pit full is only good in a mix.
A Lab if not a bit silly is a gentle, lovable, large and easy- care friendly dog.
A standard podle is a very fine dog also, although the miniatures are sometimes overly nervous; and the poodle require a bit more care, grooming, etc. because of denser coats.

Well Labrador crossed with a welsh collie would be good. That way you would have the gentleness of the Lab and the intelligence and energy of the collie. Hmmmmmmm perhaps.

Lab they are great with kids, I have a Lab mix and my other dog is a Rottweiler

Everybody should get the dog that's right for them. It's about the right match between the owner's personality and the dog's personality.
My own dog is an APBT. High maintenance, but a wonderful boy.

Definitely poodle. I have a toy poodle. He is 12 and he's my pride and joy...I've had him since he was 2 months old.
