You get out of school what you are willing to invest in it. If you believe it is boring then you will make less effort. Try developing some learning games, either alone or with friends, form discussion groups, ask for extra reading material on topics you do find interesting, and request politely that you (and others) be allowed to do some type of project you think would be interesting.
This sounds weird, but what would you do if you were a teacher and several students came to you and said they wanted to write a play about historical characters, and present it to the rest of the students? What if you already had the play written and asked for advice on costumes etc. Or what if you asked your science teacher if you could do a research project, survey, or experiment involving the class and related to the topic?
Your teacher would probably be thrilled that you were showing some interest, might even offer to help, and might get some ideas on activities they could assign that would be fun and educational.

School is not a place to entertain yourself and even if some students go their for that purpose it is the wrong idea , because school is an academic place that is there to give an education for you to learn and be knowledgeable when your done the years of requirement that you need to become whom ever you choose to be.
When you go home from school you can take a break and entertain yourself then . So you should look at school as a place that will give you a future when you are older .

Seriously, if you are bored at school it is because you need more challenge. Work in the deans office or volunteer to help a teacher grade papers. After your done with your class work write a poem.

I used to play Categories. Make a grid on a piece of paper or in your notebook. Along the left, list the categories, i.e., TV shows, movie titles, girl names, boy names, cities, streets, colors, etc. At the top, put different letters, like R and others. Then fill it in, like R for girl names would be Rachel, and so on.
I also used to write down song lyrics of songs that were stuck in my head. Using these past-times, I just looked like I was listening and taking notes.

Are you not challenged enough/too much or are you wishing you were doing other things? If you aren't being challenged appropriately, I would tell your teacher or get your parents to tell your teacher (depending on how old you are). Perhaps the teacher can give you a little more individualized instruction. If you are day-dreaming of doing something else, perhaps you should listen to what the teacher is saying. You might find it interesting! : )

Take notes about everything to keep your brain stimulated, remember how much each class costs and try to get the most out if it. If you can't break the boredom, you should reconsider what you are going to school for. If you have no interest in what you are studying, how do you think you will handle a job 8hours a day 5 days a week or more. Go after your interests and make money.

Try to joke around and play or talk to friends. Try to appreciate what you have now. You won't feel that when you enter university. All day is just work and you don't even have time to feel bored.

Daydream about not being in school
or read a small book, place it inside your
open textbook so your teacher doesn't see
You can doodle mustaches in your textbook
or look outside the window....
I always had a window seat.

I hear you, I'm the same way. Try to think of something to look forward to at the end of the day so you're not just sitting there with nothing to think about.
