I am going to buy a laptop, I am only gonna use the computer to play games on, I will not be connected to the internet. I was wondering if I will never be connected to the internet, will my computer still get viruses, or do you have to be connected to the internet to get viruses.

Viruses can spread through any medium that is progated by someone (diskettes, cd's, dvds, flash drives, etc.)

Worms do not require human intervention and are generally threats to the Internet and LANs.

Just install a virus scanner with a firewall and you'll be alright.
