yes, but for bad service I leave a really, really small tip. I think they get the message better than leaving no tip at all.

TIPS means - To insure proper service. I have always tipped well, but if the service is really terrible - and it has to be really really terrible - then I will tip a dollar. I want to let them know that I was very unhappy with the service. In a resturante I don't always blame the server. If the food is bad then it is the cooks fault and not the server. If the service is good then I tip accordingly. As far as having a bad day, that doesn't mean they have to bring it to work and take it out on me. If they want to make a reasonable amount of money then they have to do a reasonable job.

No. I was a service industry worker for numerous years. I don't believe that customers should feel obligated to tip a worker. If the service is terrible, my tip (if any) will reflect that. A tip is meant for good, friendly and timely service. Of course, in certain circumstances, one has to make allowances .. such as how busy the establishment is at the time etc ... Using one's own judgment is best. :)

20% for a waiter or waitress and extra in the event that they have been on right of it and getting your desires at as quickly as.each and every now and then if there is particularly some you on the table the top will right now be extra on your invoice. something of those pronounced must be 2 to 5 dollars if the guy does a stable activity. asking a question doesnt require a tip and you dont ought to tip the front table individual the two.tip bartenders yet remember the amout you're gonna drink, if its lots, tip much less, yet everytime they carry about you a drink tip a minimum of 50 cents. dont tip people who take you on excursion, it is the activity. Tip a hairstylist and persons who furnish an instantaneous provider like motor vehicle wash workers and valets, housekeeper if she is honestly stable. tip somebody in the event that they must bypass out of there way like at a inn and that they carry about you room provider or extras that are actually not lined in frequent dealings.2-5 for all issues provider . A tip quite shall we somebody understand in the event that they're doing a stable activity. And $5 isnt the decrease the two,its a rounded out variety ok.

It's pretty rare that I would leave no tip. The service would have to be completely, insultingly horrendous.
In restaurants, as a rule, I leave 20% for good to great service. If it was just OK, but no major screw ups, 15%, if it was not very good, but I got my food probably 10%.

Yes I always leave a tip.. Everyone is entitled to have a bad day.. I know I have 'em.. just because the service was shoddy doesn't mean they do not deserve to get paid for their service..

Absolutely... I've worked for tips before and I know what a HARD job they have....
Putting up with a bunch of jerks too, that doesn't help... so yes, 10% for crappy service.... 20% and up for good service.

No. If it's something really small, I don't, or if the service was really bad I won't. If the service was pretty good, but the server was arrogant, I throw the tip on the floor, and make them crawl for it.

My rule of thumb is 'one dollar' for each trip to my table PLUS 20% if the service was good. We had a wonderful waitress about 4 months ago and gave her $34 for a $66 tab.
