I've always plucked, and that's been fine, but I'm getting them waxed soon just to try something different.
What do I need to know going in?

Your eyes will water a lot. I suggest wearing your glasses that day if you are one of the many people who use contacts. Mine water like crazy. Also, make sure they use baby oil on your eyes after they wax, it will help reduce the reddness of your skin. This way it will be red for a shorter period of time. The baby powder goes on before hand, that way the wax sticks to the skin well. If they don't use it, they should have some other form of powder for use. If they don't, it's not a very professional salon doing your eyebrow treatment.

Very important: let your waxer know what style of eyebrows you like. Many people go with a mild arch in the brow but some do opt for the high arch or no arch. If you don't have preference, go with mild. You can also tell them you just want your eyebrows touched up. That's what many people just say, but each waxer may have a different idea of a "touch up." Pay close attention to where the wax is going so you don't end up without an entire eyebrow! I have yet to see that happen though, so no worries! :)

After the wax job, wash your face in the morning and at night. It seems strange since most people do one right when the awaken and one right before they go to bed & expect no dirt to get on their faces inbetween the two cleanings, but it does help. Your skin is vulnerable and may break out with zits/pimples easier than normal.

Eyebrow tweezing isn't painful till you get down in the direction of the lid extremely than the brow. greater lip tweezing is painful! associates say they desire waxing through fact this is all performed at as quickly as.

personally think it hurts less than tweezing. it takes me like 40 minutes to tweeze, I am slow, and it hurts. waxing takes me like 15 minutes at the salon and lasts longer.

the only place that really stings for me, is just under the brow bone, above your eyelid. beyond that, doesn't both me at all.

the only thing I would recommed is to watch the temperature of the wax, if it feels too hot on your skin, say something. it can burn you which is not fun and can be a scab for a little while.

it hurts but its sooooo worth the pain. it lasts for weeks (you might have to pluck here and there) its 1 second of pain compared to minutes of plucking. Once you wax you'll never go back! lol good luck!

It hurts some, but goes away pretty quick.
Just relax.
Oh, also, keep your face particularly clean the next couple days, don't touch the area, etc, since you may be prone to some minor breaking out.
