LadyMert's answer is sooooooooooo true. We're both from that "era" when GH was Number One in the ratings. It truly was the golden years of Gloria Monte and she's gotta be spinning in her grave over what we've been watching.
This black & white ball of Nick's has gotta be the longest night in soap opera history. This night has been going on for two weeks now and the story line is shamefully thin....it hasn't gotten any better.
I am sorry to see Emily go and they keep stupid Carly and the actress who plays her. She's ruined the character of Carly.
Will somebody either cut Jason's hair or get him a bobby pin. He's now joined the ranks of all the females who can't keep their hair out of their eyes in soap opera land (LOL) and use it as something to do with their hands.
LuLu needs to be tied up somewhere, she's plucking my last nerve. There is nothing nice about this character. All she does is pout.
As for Lucky, Sam, Liz, Jason and the paternity of Jake, what a dumb place to finally reveal the secret. Fans have been waiting for a long, long time for Lucky to find out he wasn't Jake's father. Fans deserved a couple days of that storyline all on it's own. Not throwed into the mix of a lunatic running around the scary castle killing people. Wrong place, wrong time for this important story line.
All in all, I'll be glad to see daylight come. The never ending night finally end, we get a body count and get off of the freaking island.

It HAS been better- take from someone who has watched it more or less for 36 yrs. I remember when GH was so Hot it made the cover of NEWSWEEK magazine-not to mention others like People and TV guide- when actors went on talk shows, when there was a top 20 Pop/Rap song about GH on the radio- and when 30 Million people watched a soap wedding ( still a daytime ratings record)
When there was Real stories and not just plots- when there was Romance and Family. I truly miss the 'golden age' of GH

Well I like Jason and Emily and they had me bawling yesterday. Nik deserves the emmy next year. I hate the way the story went but for the most part it is still great. Lucky and Liz never had the same connection once the original Lucky left the show. Sam is just evil and Jason should have killed her.,

Hopefully it will get better. It looks like they are writing the show to cover actors who may be leaving. I don't think Anthony Zaccarra is going to hang around for any length of time. Also, the writers strike might have something to do with the plots. I don't know how far in advance they write for the shows.

Jason and Sam were better when she wasn't stupid and evil, Lucky and Elizabeth were better but only before he didn't do drugs and Nikolas with anger issues and blackouts... Please???? It's just a big mess and now with Emily gone what's left?? And Robin and Patrick are boring!!!
