The pretrial arraignment is November 28th. At that time he will hear the charges against him and will have to enter a plea of guilty or not guilty to each of those charges. The trial will take place next year. I dn't think he will plead guilty and, at this time, the Clark County D.A. (David Rodgers) has pretty much closed the door to any plea bargaining.
There will be no problem selecting a jury. Unlike the rest of the country, the good people of Clark County are not caught up in this sort of celebrity worship and concern.
The serious charges are kidnapping (he is heard to say on the audiotape that no one is to leave the room) and armed robbery. That last one involves the use of a deadly weapon in commission of a crime. In Nevada that automatically doubles the sentence. It also puts the guilty party in a position where he has to serve at least 70% of his sentence before his first parole hearing.
We're talking about an elderly man with obvious symptoms of severe arthritis. If he's convicted he will never see the outside again. This is not the Peoples Republic of California. This is the old West.

Overall, most people want to see him fry. Payback time for the murders he got away with. Now, that the trial is going to the jury, OJ is relieved. He thinks he will win like he did the last time around. his will be a difficult case because the eye witnesses are thugs, lie, and have given conflicting stories. If you look at him, the guy has persona, appeal, and positive kinesethics. In court he had that why are they picking on me look, as well as that poor me look. In thinking about this whole scenario, I think he will see jail time.

I don't think his lawyers will be able to hand-pick a jury like they were able to do in his murder trial but I don't really see him doing jail time if he is convicted. He's a rich celebrity who will continue playing the race card.

He's black. They've been waiting for any excuse to get him, even if they have to make it up. They'll bury him this time.
