If the man is truly attracted to the woman age is not an issue.
The advantage is spending time with someone you enjoy and having your life enriched by them.

Why not? Attraction is attraction & love is love, regardless of the age difference. My sister was dating her husband when she was under 40 & he was over 60.
Alex C, "normal" isn't the question -something might be right
even though it's not normal, or wrong even though it is normal. It would be very unusual for an 80 year old and an 18 year old to have that kind of attraction for each other (generally the larger the age difference the less they will have in common), but as they are both considered adults I'm not going to lobby against it if they do decide to date each other.

There's nothing wrong with it. The laws draw the line where necessary. There is a 14.75 year age difference between my parents. My dad was 40 and my mom was 25 when I was born. After they divorced, my father (66 at the time), was dating a 30 year old woman -- only 4 years older than I was at the time.
There are no particular advantages. It's just a matter of preference.

When I was much younger, I dated some women much older than myself. I'm over 50, I've dated women much younger than myself. I see the same advantages or disadvantages as dating period. If you are both mature adults, what is the problem. Actually, my grandmother was 12yrs. younger than my grandfather on 1 side and it was reversed on the other though only 7 yrs. difference.
don't underestimate people, it happens......have a great night!

What difference does age make as long as they are both of age? Plus, at those ages, they both know more of what they want or need and how to get it. They will, more than likely, have more in common with each other than they did as kids. I see nothing wrong with it at all. I am 42 and was dating a guy that turned 56 today.

Why not? If they love each other and they live happy that way they should. I actually love this guy who is 24 years older than me.
