I love it! My boyfriend is so sweet. He cries when he gives me a present he put a lot of thought into... especially if I completely fall in love with it. Heck, he cried when he got me a Nintendo Wii! Haha. He also gets emotional when he watches certain movies and when he receives gifts that really touch him. It's sweet :)

Wow I didn't know men do this. The only emotion I see from my husband is when he is angry. Two decades and no tears.

I don't think women look down on this, but I wouldn't break down too often. Then you might look weak. I would like to have seen more emotion in my husband, but I want someone strong especially in critical situations.

I would absolutely love for my hubby so show some emotion ( besides anger that is). Real women dont look down on that at all. People are supposed to have emotions. :)

That type of emotional thing no. That's kinda cute actually. But if you act like a drama QUEEN that's a whole other story. And what you did was sincere. Not a turn off.

I think that it's great when a man can be emotional and really open up in front of his significant other. I wouldn't go too overboard with it and start crying every day about how wonderful she is, but occasionally I think it's nice to see that someone is overwhelmed with how they feel about you. If you really want to show her daiy you can as long as you don't go all-out crying about it.

Like today: I had to go to a class. My fiance was still in bed when I left and when I got back. I climbed in next to him to wish him good morning and he was very excited to see me. When I asked why he said "I woke up and I wanted to cuddle with you but you weren't there." He then went on to tell me that nothing hurts him more than reaching for me and realizing I'm not there. Little things like that can be really great for your relationship. Your girlfriend is very lucky to have someone who cares for her so much and is willing to show it.

Good for you!

I like it when guys show that kind of emotion. I don't like to see guys whine though, that's when you start to look weak. Like if you started crying because you lost your job, not because you are overwhelmed with love.

No, it's endearing - to a point. Acting like a helpless baby and completely falling apart at the smallest problem isn't, but that's not what you're describing.

I think it makes you more real. Nothing wrong with a man showing his emotions.

I have to admit, I'd be stunned if my hubby got emotional over a gift, but I'd be flattered too. I think it's sweet. You're a great catch for this gal.

The sexiest thing in the world, is a strong man brought to tears, but fighting the urge to cry. A man who cries at every little thing... not so much.
