No. Dimwitted, half-brained PALEO-cons were already waving the flag and pandering Biblical dreck before the NEO takeover of the GOP. (Think racist Sen. Jesse Helms and Tom "DeLay".)

The Neos just piggybacked on the Republican platform to parrot their own imperalist hubris realizing that trying to convert liberals during the 70s was going nowhere. LOL

I don't think it's really a secret. Yeah there was an election stealing but enough Americans voted for the Cons to make it almost negligable. Also I don't think the Dems would have different policies towards Isreal so the problem isn't who won the elections more so what the general populations choices were in the election and understanding of policy.

Nope, it happned Much earlier than that, it just wasn't as apparent as it is now.
It actually happened during the Civil Right's Movement, when the democrat party start becoming more liberal and pushing for more rights, while Southern Democrats started running their own candidates to oppose the democrats.
Eventually these southern dems ended up becoming republicans and transforming it into a more ultra-conservative fringe group.

Yes. They did it by pushing PNAC and AIPAC agendas and promoting pseudo-patriotism when the time was right (when people wanted revenge after 9/11).

Oh ya bet they did. The GOP is the party of Corporatism...they threw away "...by and for the people..." years ago in favor of making the people slaves to the corporate gods. Remember Adolf Bush considers the Constitution "...a dawd damn piece of paper..."
