I seriously hope this guy is joking about direct exaust injection. Whether he is joking or not it is funny as hell and there are people out there who would believe this. What do you guys think?

I think that guy is totally whacked. You talk about thinking outside the box, this guy is outside the store.

Everyone knows that you should hook the turbo up to the perpetual motion machine. lol.

Okay, I'll take a shot at explaining this. Inside the pistons, fuel is burned to create power. Burning means combining with oxygen. So, put simply: fuel + oxygen = exhaust + power. (people use the word "air" in place of "oxygen" frequently.) One way to get more power from your engine is to force more fuel/air mixture into the intake manifold; however, you still need the fuel/air ratio to be right to get good combustion. Turbos pressurize the fuel/air mixture in the intake manifold by harnessing the pressure from the exhaust gasses leaving the exhaust, but the gasses aren't mixed. Turbos use one fan (or turbine) on the exhaust to drive another fan on the intake side. Routing exhaust gasses into the air intake of your engine reduces the oxygen in the fuel/air mixture resulting in incomplete combustion and therefore cooler temperatures (relatively) - this is the concept behind the EGR valve.

I hope no one really thought this would work, but this explanation is just for the novices new to these things. And because I'm bored at work.

I want what he's having. if that makes sense to him I think he should drop every dime he owns to get it to work! I'll buy 2.
mabe he needs a EGR. I have one that is prime I'll sell it for only half.

you never know but yeah he thinks if you just get your compression higher it works but there is now fuel to air ratio that would work... Someone should talk to him about superchargers since he hates turbo lag time
