In jeans, when it says 32x30, does the length always come first, then the waist width, or vice versa? And does this apply for all jeans?

waist then inseam length. I think it applies to all American jeans at least.

32 is the waist size and 30 is the inseam.

Yes, it should. L x W But when it comes to jean- width is usually first. Not quite sure why.... but thats been my experience in retail.
