Good question and I love Lighthouses, in the real sense.

Thousands of sites exist online that at least show designs, and since you seem to have some knowledge and skills already; you might create from those, imagining framing; etc.

It also depends on your material types; but cylindrical might be the easiest; using large PVC? To create any design in wood, and any design not strictly at 90 degree corners; or tapered to the top; or terraced; you'll probably have to sketch out interior structural designs; Certainly keywords such as Model Light Houses, might also offer many links.

Multifaced; IE: Octagonal or even an Obelisk tapered; would mean ripping proper angles. Great project idea in any case. I wish you Winter Success.

This is really something to find that many all together. For someone like me who is just really starting to get involved with woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my dream when I was a kid.

That's alot of rats. While I think that's a good prank, I doubt you can keep them from coming back to your house. This may backfire on you. I do know that mice and rats can't handle the smell of peppermint. Get some peppermint oil and soak cotton swabs and place them strategically.
