If you meant thet were simialar then
4/11 = x/(x+8)
4(x+8) = 11x
4x +32 = 11x
7x = 32
x = 32/7

I assume the triangles are similar not congruent.

4/11 = x/(x+8)
4(x+8) = 11x
4x +32 = 11x
7x = 32
x = 32/7

i assume you mean similar... write proportions based on similarity:

x/(x+8) = 4/11

11x = 4x + 32
7x = 32
x = 32/7
