We don't really "need" science. However, if you like using your computer, driving in your car, having doctors, or pretty much anything that doesn't involve farming wheat while naked in a field and paying homage to a feudal lord and a cold, vengeful version of God, you probably do need it.

You're LOOKING at one of the "Reasons"!!! WITHOUT Science- there'd be NO technology; no TV, Electricity, Cell Phones, Cds, iPods, microwave ovens, Batteries- Heck, - you NAME it!!! If Man hadn't developed Science- you'd be sitting in your little Cave right now asking, "Daddy, why do we need fire?" !!!

You would not be able to ask this question to potentially millions of ppl.
