Perhaps girls would stop and take personal accountability for their poor choices if they knew that their parents would be notified.

Some kids are getting abortions and then ending up with complications that require medical attention. some even result in death. Parental concent could mean the choice of a better safer facility, Other options for kids who are only getting it because they are afraid and it also makes parents aware that something is major is going on in their childs life that they might not know about.

There has ALWAYS been the need for parental permission/notification if the abortion is given to a minor.

Leaving abortion out of it, Ive always found it sexist that juveniles at age 13 (mostly male) can be tried for crimes as an adult, but when it comes to teenage girls, we dont treat them as if they have the same adult mental capacity. AND THEY SAY GIRLS MATURE EARLIER.
