Perception is an awareness or a discerning of something based on your own senses. The thing about perceptions is that in your mind they may be true, but in reality they may not be true or they may not even exist.

Perception is how you think about things. Perspective is how you see things.

It was really perceptive of Julie to realiza that Jan was hurt and not angry.

The painting was from the perspective of a child because all of the buildings were three times the normal size.

It is how you interpret stimuli (Internal and external things). Bascially the conclusions you make from the things that you sense.

If you see dog, you are sensing it. What you make from what you see is your perception of it.
