I go to a Private Christian/Uniting school and we only have one lesson on beliefs a week, but we have really short prayers in the notices every morning. I don't really follow a religion and I doubt the other kids that I know do either. I guess the only difference between a Christian school and normal school is that we learn about religions, read a prayer in the notices every day and have a reading from the bible at the start of every assembly (which no one really listens to). But every private school in Australia is either Catholic, Christian, Lutheran or Uniting.

Conservative politics should not be confused with conservative religious beliefs. Conservative, when boiled down to its root meaning in politics, infers that one believes strongly in self reliance and liberty, not dependence on big government to support and control them. Best said, if you give an able man a crutch, he is liable to become a cripple. Look what three trillion dollars of welfare payments has created, accomplishing more dependency as a lifestyle and spurning educational and professional development. Welfare payments constitute insidious brain washing, leading capable persons to believe that they need not achieve to live, and proliferating a lifestyle that our forefathers fought so hard to overcome. Pride and self worth fade as welfare recipients begin to covet and take pride in the government's transfer of money from fellow citizens and underpin their laziness and bad habits.

Your way off base,
I went to a private christian high school and believe me.. Lol im as far left as christian conservatives are concerned. I have my own religious values that didnt reflect any of the teachings of the school. I think your personal expirience with people who happend to go to these schools have biased your question to everyone.
