Plug in -2 for x.

(2(-2))^2 - 5(-2)

(-4)^2 +10 = 16+10 = 26

If the function is raised to (2-5x)
We have:
-4^(2+10) = -4^12

2(-2)^2 - 5(-2) because -2 is x
2(4) - 5(-2) because -2 times -2 equals 4
8 - 5(-2) because 2 times 4 equals 8
8- (-10) because 5 times -2 equals -10
8 + 10 because two negatives equal a positive
18 because 8 plus 10 equals 18
