Three words: advertising, advertising, advertising. Go to yahoo.com right now. You will see two ads on the page. One on the right, and one in the middle right above the news section. The company that is advertising there is paying Yahoo! millions of dollars to have that ad there. They also make money in a million other ways, but advertising is one of the main ones.

Mostly advertisement, this girl paid $8 to open www.whateverlife.com she makes layouts for myspace and facebook, she started charging for advertisement and in a year in a half she became a millionare, she is only 17 years old. I am starting online business, gonna be online retailer :)
