I know that we got the right to bear arm thing, we can keep a gun at home, but can we take it outside of the house?

Every state does it differently - Vermont makes almost no restrictions on gun ownership, while in California is almost impossible to comply with all the laws...

You will need a concealed carry permit to carry outside of your home. Do your own research on your own state laws regarding a CCP as you will be held responsible for your actions with regards to firearms and the pertaining laws. Don't rely of second hand information. Learn to shoot properly, join the NRA (emphasis on training and safety), and practice a lot - twice a month. Join the group at the link below.
