Plug it into a timer set a few hours before leaving or play around with the time to get the minimal time needed....no sense wasting energy to heat an engine.

It depends how cold it actually is. Even in Sask. Canada where the temps reach -38C. Most of my family has timers on there outside plug in set for four hours in the morning and has had no problems starting the cars.

HOMOGENOUS MIXTURE? IT WILL ONLY GET SO WARM,AN HOUR SHOULD DO IT AND YOUR WALLET WILL THANK YOU WHEN YOUR ELECTRIC BILL ARRIVES. THEY DRAW A LOT OF POWER. THERE ARE TIMERS AND EVEN WIRELESS DEVICES AVAILABLE SO YOU CAN TURN IT ON INSIDE. JUST PLUG IT IN THE NIGHT BEFORE, AND HIT THE BUTTON IN THE MORNING, I HAVE ONE.
