I was on birth control pills for about 6 years but stopped taking them in June because my husband and I wanted to start trying to conceive our first child. Each month it's been a "no," and I bought a pregnancy test today just for the heck of it. I don't expect my period for another 5 days, but I took it anyway and there was a very faint (but definate) line to indicate a positive.
I am trying my best not to get too excited. I've read online a faint line usually means positive.
All I'm looking for here are a few stories from people who have had this happen with them and what the result was.

I had went to the hospital for an unrelated situation and they wouldn't give me medication becuz I had traces of hcg in my blood. So I took a test and there was a faint faint line. I went to the doctor as ordered 48 hrs later and was told I was not pregnant. I went to my dr n took another test same day and there was such a faint line but she said she would say yes I was pregnant. They did bloodwork again and yes that faint line was a positive. I would say a faint line is a positive and you should def schedule an appt for some bloodwork n another test. I was on the iud for 5 years n 2 our surprise got pregnant unexpectly. Good luck!!

A faint line can mean nothing but positive. Think of it this way. The pregnancy test are designed to only test for HCG if there is above 20 or 25 ml of HCG in your system(average sensativity of tests) then it shows a line. the more HCG the darker the line... now if you are NOT pregnant the most HCG that you have in your system is 5ml SOOOO the only reason a line would show up is if you have more than 20ml of HCG so that means YOU ARE PREGNANT!!!
you can take another test in 2 days just to see the line darker if you like. In a normal healthy pregnancy the HCG doubles every 48 hours.

I had the same thing and I happen to be positive. I took so many because I also was excited and wasnt sure. Even when I knew I was pregnant through a Dr's test, the home preg test still showed a faint line. Good Luck!

The pregnancy hormone is VERY strong! a faint line usually means POSITIVE!! CONGRATS!!!!!!

you kno it just happend to me and like you i asked the women on here and ill tell you wat they told me. (thaey werre right)
a plus is a plus faint or dark. so congrats annd good luck hun!!
