so my mom found out that lately i have been doing something horrible. the way she found out was that one of my friends wrote me a letter saying how concerned they were for me that i started to smoke weed. i got it from my brothers best friend though its not mine. i hid the letter under my mattress while my mom was staying at my sisters house. then my sister kicked my mom out and now she came back to my house and some how she found the letter..i am soo mad. wat was she doing snooping in my room? anyways she wrote on the letter that she wants to have a long talk with me when she gets home. am i in trouble? one of my friends always use to say that its only a plant, so it cant hurt u. but whatever. am i in trouble? idk what should i do?..

Yes you are in deep trouble. And I have no idea why she was snoopings in your room. Yes, it is a plant, but its illegal and plus it damages your lungs and can cause cancer. If I was you, I would stop right now, and apologize to ma moda.

Sit down and have a calm conversation with your mom, hear what she has to say, be mature about it, if she screams stay calm and try to understand her point of view. Even if you already have your mind set on smoking weed listen to her advice because she loves you and is not doing it to make you mad . I know weed is just a plant but so is the poppy, it's a beautiful flowering plant, that can make heroin, cocaine comes from a plant too the coca. Anything that goes into your body has the potential to change your brain and or body chemistry and sometimes you can't get it back after you lose it . It's your body for life so why would you take that chance. You're a good human being who makes mistakes and can and should learn from them . Think about it, you got mad cause you don't want a snoopy mom controlling your life then why would you start a drug that could control your life in a not so good way . Good luck to you!!!

I have to say that such a situation can be very straining. I have had no personal experience with this however I have many friends that do that.
First of all, it is a plant, you are right about that. However, it can very well hurt you, do some research.

I do not know you, I don't know anything about you, but I still cannot urge how important it is that you shouldn't do that.
A guest speaker came to my school and when he totaled out the money he spent on drugs in his life (which just started as an addiction to weed) was over $15,000,000.

Yes, you are probably in trouble.

Don't lie to her or make excuses. Listen to what she has to say - don't interupt. Once she's done ask her why she had to snoop in your room. You thought you had a good relationship and trusted each other. You trusted her not to snoop, and if she was concerned about you you trusted her to come talk to you one on one. You need to show her how you are responsible, and how you've come to her on other ocassions with problems. If not - now is a great time to tell her how you should have handled the situation. AND, how you will handle future situations.

I don't know how old you are, but this probably won't work if you are under 16/15 years old.

Just chalk it up. If you can sit patiently while she talks you won't get in big time trouble. Just my experience...

PS: Tell her you learned your lesson and won't do it anymore. While I know it's a part of growing up it really is a waste. Your mom is probably the same way.

You are probably going to suffer some consequences for this, but more than anything I think that your mother is worried about you as any mother would be. She probably just wants you to be aware of what you are doing to yourself, and yourself image. More people will look down on you, than people who think you are cool for doing it. My best friend back in high school started doing it b/c her boyfriend did it, and now they have 2 kids, won't get married because she will lose all of her govt. assistance, and neither one has a job. But somehow, they find money for weed, and those poor kids. They have no clue what is going on. I have tried to clue to her mother, but my friend always windles her way out of it. Faking a piss test or anything she can think of. Its a sad situation. All of the good jobs out there that will let you amount to something forbid any recreational drugs, so if you want to stand up to be anything in life, now is the time to do it, and say no, and let your brother and friends know the harmful effects. It might feel good now, you may only say one time, or one more time, but soon you are hooked, and can't get off. If it was just a plant, then everybody would be doing it. Right? Think about it, I can tell you are yong, fix it now, before it is too late to fix. Please!

Depending on your mom, you may be in a lot of trouble or a little, but pretty much you should be in trouble. It is just a plant but it is an illegal one. getting busted is no fun and your mom's job is to protect you. do you realize having it in your house you can lose your house if you get busted? it is a serious matter. as a teen it is natural to want to experiment and try new things, but always use common sense. if you are sneaking around doing something most likely it is wrong, and if it is illegal too it can end up being a bigger problem than you ever wanted. your friends and your mom love and care about you, they want what's best for you in your life. there are a million other cool things to do in this world. find them and stay out of trouble.

Your not an adult and your mom is snooping because she cares about you. It sucks now, but you'll do the same when you get older and have kids. As far as if you're in trouble, depends on your mom. You have some explaining to do and should be honest. If she has tried it then she is more likely to understand. I personally don't think it's that bad for you but in most places it's illegal which means you shouldn't be doing it.

she has all right to be worried about you too pot is a gate way drug trust me on that one
there is a difference in smoking maybe once a year to become a pot head (everyone is gonna tell you how bad it is but they have all done it i mean tryed it or haven't and are tryin to give you bull sh it advice)

just think about what your really doing to yourself...if your mom askes you not to don't give her atleast that much respect. i hid that from my mom for a long time and she was very very hurt i didn't tell her and kept doing it behind her back (i smoked alot in high school but no one knew but maybe 4 ppl)
grow up first keep your grades up and don't hung out w/ those kinda ppl trust me its a bad idea i really regret alot i almost lost a great friend over it...and i see you may do the same since your friends are that worryed about you!

Even though it's a plant, it's illegal and bad for you. Just do whatever your mom tells you. It's for the best. Just be glad that she didn't explode when she saw the letter. That means that she might be calm when she talks to you and then it might mean that you won't get into trouble and that she'll just help you. Try to quit. It's really bad for you. Good Luck.

Well you used the words "I have been doing something horrible"...that kind of sums it up don't you think??? You are not going to be able to avoid having to talk to your mom....no use trying to argue with her that she shouldn't have been snooping, etc. since the damage has already been done. You are going to have to face her so may as well do it soon. If it is honestly something you just tried and have no intention of continuing then tell her that, however, it will take her a while to trust you again.

Talk to your mom, take the punishment, and really think if smoking weed is what you want to do. It may only be a plant but it is illegal and if you are caught with it by the law you will be in more trouble than with your mom.
