I dated a Taylor and kept calling him one of my good old friends name, Tyler. He didn't even notice most of the tim but is stupid best friend would have to freakin point it out. I would be a little pissed if I got called a name of their ex, especially the last one. Since Tyler was a friend I had known forever and he didn't usually notice I kinda got away with it.

Yea, but it is more of a coincidence because my first boyfriend years ago had the same last name so when i go to say his first and last name all at once i sometimes slip up and say the very old exboyfriend.

yea. I called my current boyfriend by my ex-husbands name. I was married for 17 years though and only with this guy less then a year when I did it. I felt so bad, but he was cool with it. Old habbits die hard. I definately was over my ex, so my current b/f didn't have a problem.

OMG...YES! When I was married to my ex husband he tried to wake me up one night. He was hugging and loving on me but I wasn't having any of it. The next morning he told me about this and said that I pushed him away and said, "stop, or my husband will find out"! ROFLMAO Ya know the thing is I don't remember having a dream about anyone else and I hadn't cheated on him so I dunno why I said it but I did.
Here's another one for ya.....one of my friend's name is Robin, several years ago she met and later married a guy who had previously divorced a Robin! Talk about not worrying about saying your ex-wife's name to your new wife...hahaha Personally, I couldn't have married him knowing that because it's just way too odd but I guess she loved him.

All the time. Usually my mind is moving faster than my mouth. I switch up names all the time. My Mom does it too. For half of my childhood I was called by her sister's name.

Only once in the begining of our relationship did I call him another mans name. 4 yrs later I only call him by his name, our son's name or my brothers names when he is being goofy.
Never during a private moment!

My husband used to do this when we first started dating. His ex-girlfriend's name was Jackie. I remember one time we went to dinner at his mom and dad's and I brought dessert. Brian said, "Dessert is here compliments of J-J-J-J-Jesus...and Kelly."
It was cute. I think it happens and it doesn't have to be a big deal.
