It would be Zero if one were using the 'commonly acceped definitions' of fascism and dictator as a guide.
Curiously, you chose to omit the 0 and use a 1 as the lowest number which would automatically skew your poll in a desired direction.Curious, but hardly surprising.
Definitions are from the American Heritage dictionary.
Fascism:
a. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.
b. A political philosophy or movement based on or advocating such a system of government.
Oppressive, dictatorial control.
Dictator:
a. An absolute ruler.
b. A tyrant; a despot.
c. An ancient Roman magistrate appointed temporarily to deal with an immediate crisis or emergency.

About a 4.5
People really feel like it is more, and rightfully so, because we used to be about a 3 even.
I think the very fact that we can have this conversation without any real fear of goverment retribution proves it isn't any more than a 4.5
I'd still like to see us go back to a 3, or maybe even to a 2.5

3. While the US is a socialist country and fascism is a form of socialism, corporations have more freedom from government interference then in most all other countries. Fascism requires government control (nationalization or strategic control) of corporations.
