It can be done while on birth control pills, however birth control pills can decrease FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone or LH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) measurements.

You may have to stop taking any medications (including birth control pills) that contain estrogen or progesterone for up to 4 weeks before having a FSH or LH blood test, however I would recommend that you discuss this with your OB/Gyn first as they will be able to give you better advice.

Good luck :)

Well, I would think it would vary based on what kind of test they are doing. If they are doing a pelvic ultrasound, that might show some things like structural problems that could cause infertility whether you are on contraceptives or not.

Which test? If testing to see if your hormone levels are ok or if you are ovulating, then the results won't be right.

If you are on the pill, why do you want infertility testing done? Why do you suspect you are infertile if you haven't been trying to get pregnant?

If you had blood work done, the results are not reliable as your body still has the effects of the pill. If you had ultrasounds, HSG or other fertility tests done, then it doesn't matter.

Good luck!
