Bush dismissed looking for him in 2002. Now, only because of the Democratic Congressional oversight and a resurgence in Afghanistan/Pakistan is the Administration even bothering with stepped up efforts to find him and more Al Qaeda big wigs.

You may not know this but another factor that may explain why we haven't gone after Bin Laden is that families Saud, Bin Ladin, and Bush have been friends for decades. The have also been business partners. It was Bin Laden money that bailed Dubya out of one of his failed business ventures

does this video say anything about it to you

Bin who?
Let him get a few million barrels of oil, then we'll worry about him!

D C Timberstone, wants to compare hiding out in a cave, escaping justice, while directing suicide bombers, as a game of chess?? LOL

Where are all the Cons screaming that if he escapes justice, it will empower terrorists??

The most amazing part of politics are the secrets that are revealed decades after the fact.

I am quite certain we have known where Bin Laden is for at least 3-4 years. However, it is not yet in our best interest to go after him just yet. He's a virtual prisoner in a cave; he's not going anywhere.

Did you notice there were about three years of silence from Bin Laden between tapes? In this last tape, he only moved about a minute and a half; the rest of the time it is a still image. I believe the last attack severely injured him, and that one of his arms is practically useless. He may be suffering from acute renal or kidney problems. His mental condition is probably so deteriorated that they can only get a few elusive minutes of coherence out of him.

With a practically useless leader of the terrorist movement, the insurgents have been reduced from the glory days of planning massive strikes against the greatest monuments to capitalism in the Western world to just blowing up buses a few blocks from where they live. The terrorist movement today is just a spastic, desperate lashing out by people who can't carry out any significant attacks. It's a dying gasp of terrorists who are unable to travel without being intercepted, who can't even use mobile phones for fear of detection, and whose money supply has dried up due to our monitoring of international money transactions.

The Bin Laden family cares nothing about that loon. He's just an embarrassment for them. The Saudis have no love for Bin Laden, and they refused to take him back.

Bin Laden has ordered his protectors to kill him if an attack is ever launched against their camp. He does not want to be captured alive. Hence, we may also be waiting for that one elusive moment when his security makes a fatal mistake. (and I wouldn't be surprised if that coincides nicely with the '08 elections)

Right now, Bin Laden is a lot like an old Pope who can barely summon up the strength to make a brief appearance on major religious holidays. Church doctrine does not get examined, and a lot of church business just gets put on hold. That's how the terrorism movement is right now. They can't plan anything major because their leader is incapacitated.

And that's just how we like it.

Bin encumbered is a CIA agent, so how is he ever going to be caught. he's probable enjoying the extreme existence right this moment on some tropical island. He did a great activity for his employers and has been handsomely rewarded.

we dont want to capture him. If we capture him and imprison him he becomes a rallying point for all of the anti american terrorist groups in the world. We kill him and the world media finds out, again we have a martyr for the dissidents of the world to idolize. We let him die of natural causes in some hole where he is hiding, or better yet, terminate him and leave him in an anomous and unmarked grave, he will fade to obscurity and become inconsequential. Many people believe that he may already be dead and the statements attributed to him in recent months may have been recorded years ago. Either way, give it ten years and Ossamma Bin Hidin' will become Ossamma Who? Just another anonomous dirtbag in the annals of history.

Yes, the Bush's are in with the Bin Laden's as you said. Also, Bin Laden is a CIA agent. His real name is Tim Ossman. My belief is that Bin Laden was killed years ago by the CIA to keep him from squealing on the real people that carried out the 911 attacks: the CIA.

Bush wants to have Bin Laden around to instill fear in you.

Whenever there is an important vote coming up, the Bin Laden tape manages to surface.

The tape surfaced before the 2004 election to help Bush win.

Bin Laden is dead. Or he might as well be.

I believe that you think you "take nothing from the troops." I also think you don't know how tone deaf you are.

Every time we hear form home that the Congress is considering cutting off funding or forcing an withdrawl people get stirred up and angry. It's never 100% unianimous, but far and away the majority of us want to finish the job, in Iraq and in Afghanistan.

Withdrawl from Iraq will inevitably result in withdrawl from Afghanistan about 18 months later as teh total anti-war typed grow bolder and the enemy fighters currently in Iraq move to engage us there.

Any withdrawl is a knife in our backs. It invalidates the sacrifices we've already made. It renders valuless teh lives already spent.

If it's not worth the lives you don't go to war in the first place and you d*mn sure don't quit once committed.

I have more respect for my enemy, who has the fortitude and backbone to continue taking truly horrendous losses hoping that we'll get tired and go home, than I do for my own countrymen who grow too weary too quickly.

They are still there looking for him they never left i have many military friends and they have explained to me the difficulties of the region they are searching in. But i am not going to waste my time explaining that since you seem to have already been brainwashed with other delusional ideas. Just know we have many soldiers there that are searching and dying while looking for him and other terrorists. For anyone who might think it is a simple task you are more than welcome to go hunt for him yourself.

Sorry to all the Libs that may not like my answer but it's the truth watch the thumbs down now...
