Cuba didn't give anybody nuclear missiles. The Cuban Missile Crisis was the military confrontation between the United States, the Soviet Union, and Cuba when the Cold War threatened to become a nuclear war. The Russians call it the "Caribbean Crisis," while the Cubans call it the "October Crisis." Like the Berlin Blockade, it was one of the major confrontations of the Cold War.
According to recently de-classified documents of NSA, Soviet Military shipments 2,454 tons was discovered on September 23, 1960. The actual confrontation began on October 14, 1962, when U.S. reconnaissance photographs taken by an American U-2 spy plane revealed missile bases being built in Cuba, in response to similar U.S. bases built at the Turkish-Soviet border. After a bellicose confrontation on October 28, 1962, both U.S. President John F. Kennedy and Soviet General Secretary Nikita Khrushchev, with the intercession of U.N. Secretary-General, U Thant, agreed to remove their respective nuclear weapons.

The USSR was trying trying to set up nuclear missiles in Cuba creating the Cuban Missile Crisis in which the US under JFK blockaded Cuban shores, This led to a stalemate in which the Soviets took the missiles out of Cuba and the US took missiles out of Turkey.

The Rooskies were sending missiles to Cuba that could reach the US rather quickly so JFK blockaded Cuba so the missiles couldn't get through. I don't know if there were nuclear warheads on those particular missiles but they could have been installed at any time.
We really came much closer to nucelar war during Reagan's presidency. We were running drills that the Russians took seriously and it was our and their spies that prevented the war. In the past we were in a lot more danger than we are now from the "terrorists" so please let's try to keep our rights in tact. Once we lose them they are forever lost.

Well this is the situation about the Cuban Missile Crisis
-America claimed that they have information to prove that Cuba is in the process of having, obtaining or constructing facilities to hold nuclear weapons.
-They stated that Cuba was obtaining the the weapons from Russia all of this is during the cold war between the two power country America and Russia.
-The reason Russia wanted to install missile silos in Cuba is because America placed silos in Turkey. therefore Russia felt as though it was a threat to them or what they call missiles in their back yard. so Russia shipped some weapon to Cuba to place them in America's back yard
-Thanks to our president little brother Mr. Robert Kennedy he had a direct line with the Russian government to help defuse the situation, but later on he was assassinated during his run for the Democratic seat for the election
-Also there was an attempt to assassinate Fidel Castro and that attempt was called the bay of pigs

If something, the Russian commander exchange into waiting to decide for broke. yet, after the Kremlin found out the US wasn't bluffing, it capitulated and stood down from the nuclear standoff that had got here approximately. The Russians lost some face over this stand down, however the international bought a clean lease on existence. the US exchange into completely arranged to apply despite potential mandatory to keep away from Russia from gaining the floor it was hoping to benefit in Cuba. the US does not enable this to ensue, no count what the value.

Russia was trying to set up nukes in Cuba. President Kennedy set up a blockade around cuba to prevent the Russians from delivering the nukes. Obviously, since cuba is 90 miles from U.S. mainland, we could not allow Russian missiles to be placed there.

The U.S. established muclear missiles next to the USSR (namely Turkey).
The USSR responded by placing nuclear weapons in Cuba (which was next to the U.S).
The U.S. then responded by blockading USSR ships from entering Cuba (military, hardware, personnel, food, etc).
If a USSR ship or submarine was attacked by the U.S. it could have started an international conflict (crisis).
The US and USSR decided that they will remove the nuclear weapons from key areas. The U.S. from Turkey and the USSR from Cuba.
