I am not an Astro fan but I did like Biggio a lot. He was a scrappy hardnosed player that belongs in the HOF. He was awesome and he will be missed.

Craig Biggio was a great player. He is a member of the 3000 hit club. He is one of the greatest players in Astros history, who will have his #7 retired next season. I also think he will make the Hall of Fame as well. I could never forget a great player like Biggio. I am a Yankee fan, but I like the Astros also. The Astros and the Astros fans were lucky to have Biggio. While he may be retired, he will go down as a future Hall of Famer. His 3000th hit will be enough to get him in.

not too many guys play 20 years for one team and is a class act a true gentleman of the game. one thing we do you wont hear Craig Biggio's name brought up in the steroid scandals so its refreshing to see that in the game.

A heck of a baseball player- an even better person. What a classy guy. Loved the game and the fans and you can't ask for much more than that. Definitely first ballot HOF.

He was a Hall of Fame player with a Hall of Fame personality. He played the game the right way, and I will be sad to see him retire. However, he knew when to retire. Nobody had to show him the door. He simply knew when it was time to go, and left the game with dignity, self-respect, and a Hall of Fame resume intact.

You are so right. In a sports world filled with miscreants, no one takes enough time to champion the good guys. Craig did it all and he did it all with grace and without belittling himself, OR his fans. Good guys DO win after all.
