The sentence 'where is is is is the cat resembles contiguous gene syndrome, of small deletions and repetitions in the genetic sequence.

Based on the idea that we're deleting things... I would go for "Where is cat?"

But if you're deleting the "short arm" of the chromosome... shouldn't it be the shortest word? ... "Where the cat?"
