A candidate who wanted to legalize pot will surely lose.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know the candidates who support the legalization of pot if they will win.

Tough question...There are many reasons it would benefit if it was...Look at the taxes alone it would raise.....there would be clean pot(allot of the pot now a days is laced with thc and other drugs)...Court system would free up there schedule saving billions every year...would free up the over crowding in the jails...Personally I don`t smoke it but see not that much difference between pot and alcohol

That is not my key issue but ending the war on drugs is a terrific idea. It is failing as bad as the war on terrorism. Drug abuse is an illness but someone should be able to grow their own pot and smoke it. Compare the effects of cigarettes and alcohol abuse on the body...cancer, liver disease...the effects of weed are all positive. It is used to increase appetite in cancer patients and the calming effect similar to Zanax or Clonapin.
So to answer the question, yes.

While I think it should be legal because I don't think the government should be able to tell me what I can/can't do with my body, I can't vote for a politician because of that one issue. I would have to see that they are a progressive candidate and agree with them on several other levels.

No, I could care less about pot, I would look at what else he had going for him. That might be a good reason not to vote for him.

No, I would not.
That would be a bad Idea.
Any canidate who said that would be a fool, becasue they should know that the President does not have the power to hands down legalize anything. Only congress can change or make new laws. Not the President.

NO! NO! NO!

Hopefully, you will be smart enough not to vote for a candidate who promises to legalize an illegal drug, knowing full well it is an out and out lie and will never happen.

no
not because i am against legalization but because that candidate would be a liar. no president writes law. a candidate that makes claims to do things a president does not have the power to do should not be elected. don't make promises you can't keep!
