well if you look at it you have roughly 900 a year since the last expansion all totally i would guess close to 40,000 even maybe 50,000 players through out the history of baseball

My guess is 50,000-65,000. I don't know if the Baseball Encyclopedia ever actually counted them or not. There have been so many one-game wonders, so many cups of coffee, and so many injuries. Quite a dang few, though.
