George Orwell was a socialist. He fought with the socialist militia in the Spanish civil war.

I've already read "1984" and I don't understand what that has to do with Rudy Guiliani. The book is more like what George Bush and his neocon buddies are trying to do to the American people

What does 1984 have to do with Guiliani? George Orwell was a conservative. He was talking about how big government is easily corrupted and very commonly anticapitlist. Most of the leading (not so liberal) liberal (not so democratic) democrats, like Clinton, Obama, and Edwards, want more laws and taxes, which means more beurocracies. So are you for or against Guiliani? I think that 1984 pushes for small government, unless you want to be a mindless prole. I've read the book three times. Loved it every time. Read Ayn Rand. She's interesting. "Anthem" and "Atlas Shrugged"

I would suggest watching the interview at the following link about Rudy.

I have already read it. It is a good book about the dangers of any form of statist oppression - including both fascism and statist-Communism.

Edit: I agree with NIck that Ayn Rand is also a good read.

I think everyone should read that book before making up their mind to vote for anybody.

Gotta love George Orwell and his use of satire. Classic. The true question, how many people even know what "1984" was truly about? I do like your comparrison though. Great job!

What does reading a fictional novel have to do with Rudi?

Stupid book. 1984 was 23 years ago and I'm still waiting for all the things in that book to happen. However I fear if one votes for Hillary Clinton, that story will become reality.
