I am an educator and I can give you an answer based only on your side of this.
I feel like some important facts are missing here. You admit you handed in 3 assignments, all late, no one died or anything like that, right?
If she gives you the great option to hand in an assignment on time, but then you can re-do it for a higher grade, she is more than fair.
As far as what is happening with the other students, sounds to me like they had a good reason and proved it.
I have a suggestion; stop making excuses and blaming others, do your own work and hand it in on time. That is part of being a mature, responsible person. Time to grow up.

If she said that late assignments would be rejected with 0 points then she would be acting fairly. The fact that she allows redos teaches editing techniques I'll bet (i.e make sure all my corrections are incorporated, etc.) What she does with other students has nothing to do with you. You can't win in these situations by challenging the teacher. It would be best if do did as well as you can on the remaining assignments and courteously ask every once in a while to accept your past work. Sometimes it prudent to bow to authority. It's your grade.

Yes its fair. I would be happy that you talked her into accepting the one. But you turned it in late, what do you expect? This is college, not high school. Turn things in on time. Even if it is half done you can redo it, right?
If you turned in three assignments late for a job within three months (assuming this is all in the same semester) you would probably be fired.

If your teacher is being fair and she is! You failed to turn in that assignment on time so you take responsibility for your actions but by the way your saying it its not fair....

Obviously, from the information you have provided, the teacher is indeed treating you fairly. You failed to meet the terms of the assignment--apparently, your issue is not one of defective equipment, but an inability to be responsible.

It depends on why your assignments were late. And her general policy applies only if you handed it in when it was due, so that doesn't apply at all to you.

In the real world, if you don't turn something in on time, you can get canned.
Your teacher is preparing you for the real world.
Turn your assignments in on time. Period.

its not about any other students. You missed deadlines, and now the consequences must be dealt with.
