I seen an write up where more US schools debate bans on public display of affection,I think if they don't leave the kids alone there will be more school drop outs than ever,It seems the schools and public officals don't have any thing better to do than pick on the kids while in school,What do you think about this ban on affection where kids can't hug.

I think all these "zero tolerance" policies are just the school administrators trying to make their jobs easier.

Cops and teachers should be the top two highest paying professions, that way we could weed out the people who do not belong in those lines of work.

Good luck.

They may have taken all of this to an extreme, but have you been in a public school before the ban. I don't know about where you are from but the kids in my home town are out of control with their hugs. It totally disrupts their every day lives. When they cant even talk to you before they give everyone in the room a hug there is a problem! I can only imagine what the teachers are dealing with.

What is happening in this area (Chicago) is that kids are engaging in massive group hugs that clog the halls and prevent students from moving from class to class. So schools put a ban on hugging. Where do you stop? With 2 people hugging, 3 people, 5 people? No one is going to count the number if kids in a group hug. So they banned ALL hugs. It has nothing to do with PDA. Kids have been told to stop the hugs, but they didn't, so the schools banned them. Kids not in the hugs should not receive tardy slips because they could not get through the hugs to class.
