I knew a couple who quit having "relations", but didn't want to divorce because they wanted to raise their children together. They became great friends, and started having "relations" with other people.
I don't know what they're going to do when the children are out of the house in about 7 years, but most people don't understand, or are too quick to be judgmental of them. They are honest with each other, but not with the children because they're too young to understand.
However, I can't see getting divorced, and staying in the same house. That's more sick than anything.
