Thhe only thing on my screen is the background picture. There are no files, start button not even the internt. The only way I can go on the Internet is if a pop-up comes on.I don't know how this happend and It was perfectly fine yesterday. I'll be really thankful if someone helped me out

ok try this out
1.hold CTRL+ALT+DEL on your keyboard.
2.next click on FILE on the top
3.click on NEW TASK
4.type in EXPLORER.EXE
5.hit ENTER
that should fix your problem.i hoped i helped een a little bit (unlike some of the other idiots who answered)

Does anyone else use the computer, they must have turned off desktop items. If so just right click on the screen and hit Arrange Icons By then click at the bottom of that list it says Show Desktop Items. As for the start toolbar it should be located at the bottom all you need to do is pull it up. Also make sure no one has changed your settings. So check the Appearance and Themes in your Control Panel. Also try Safe Mode by clicking F8 on the first screen you see when you restart your computer.

i've had this happen to me before, what i did was reset the computer either by ctrl/alt/del (press and release once then press and hold immediately after) or hold the power button on ur pc down until it turns off, then boot it up again and it should work. if not, i can't say i know whats wrong with it. hope this works/helps. good luck!

Try to reset the computer by pushing the reset botton or power off.
Hopefully, it was not a DoS attack. If so, you need to use the system recovery disc of your anti-virus package to reboot the machine.

it could be for several reasons, maybe a virus, maybe a driver. Remember last actions, new installed programs?, are antivirus installed? and working, try start windows in safe mode pressing F8 while it just starts, if it works try restore system in accessories/system tools/restore, to last point.
