I saw my gynaecologist today for a post-op appointment after being diagnosed with endometriosis and due to some other symptoms I have experienced (which includes those found with IC) over the past few months, he thinks there is a possibility that I might have IC too, although I have not yet been diagnosed with it by having a cystoscopy.

A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with IC a few months ago and she never had the pinpoint bleeding when they stretched her bladder during her cystoscopy, however she did find out that she has a really stiff bladder wall which her doctors thinks is what is causing her pain and discomfort.

I would recommend that you consult with your doctor/urologist to discuss any concerns you might have regarding this.

Good luck :)

I don't know yet if I have IC (have symptoms that indicate I might) but I have met women who have IC and have the pinpoint bleeding going on.

Another good site that may have information that can help you (and they have messageboards there too) is at: http://www.ic-network.com
