Why do Mexican Americans insist on calling all white Americans ANGLOS??

I asked this before,but people did not respond well.OKAY I'm Asian,not Oriental as they usaully call us.My family is Indian. Black people call white people "White folks" Puerto ricans call them gringos,blancos,or white people yet,they insist on calling them that.I read George Lopez's book & he always call white people Anglos.But why??Those are descends of the British Isles.Italians,Greeks,Isrealis,Sweedes,Germans,French,Irish, Poles,Armanians,ect are not Anglos,Just like us Asians are not Orientals.But if you call them "Spanish People" or "Puerto Ricans" they get mad..Can you please explain why they think all white ameicans are British descends???This is also whhat they call them in Arizona,California,ect,ect

Of course, there are lots of non-white native english speakers, so I suppose it could just be that they really do think all white people come from England. Afterall, people like toclaim that 'Anglos' think all 'Latinos' are Mexcian, so why not turn it around?
