Don't you just love poems? I know it's a little early but do you know of any good poems for holidays like Christmas and Valentines? Thanks! I am open to comment please no rude ones please. Thank you for your answer!!!

Here's one for you:

A Valentine is nothing like
A chocolate or a rose.
For in a week these shall be gone,
But Valentines remain.
If love were always sweet to tongue
Or fragrant to the nose,
Each day would be like Valentine's,
And we would go insane.

A Valentine just hangs around
Waiting to be kissed
Long after special days have passed
And every days are here.

So one is wise to choose one well
And chocolates to resist.
For in the midst of mania
It's nice to have one near.

Poems are awesome, When I first started to write them I had no clue as to what I was going to write, but a friend suggested that I did in order to help me deal with a bad situation that I had to go thru. I wrote what I was dealing with and going through, and It totally amazed me what came out. I didnt' know I could write, let alone write some of the things that came out. I also learned alot about the spiritual realm of my being and who I am. things I didnt even know about myself came out thru the art form of poetry, and yes, I do have a christmans poem I wrote.

A Christmas Wish

I wish for you at christmas time,
that all that you encounter will be very kind.
and that in every present you open
will be filled with love unspoken.

my hopes for you are that in all the christmas's to come.
that they will be filled with laughter, and joy and then some,
and that they will bring you all your dreams to come true,
expecially the ones that mean the most to you.

I pray for you to be blessed with the best gift of all,
the gift of love.
sent from heaven above.
and that you may feel his glory
everytime you hear the christmas story.

for Jesus was born and gave his life for us.
so that we may be forgiven
of the things that we do that are forbidden.
so that we may walk with him again one day.
