There's a LP player from the Czeck Republic, Pro-Ject something or other (I plan to buy it in January and have a link saved on my computer...) that will supposedly bring out the better-than-CD potential of LPs, but I'll need to buy speakers to go with it and have no idea what kind to get. I found some Sony speakers for like $50 on Amazon, but I'm guessing that wouldn't cut it...does anyone have any input on this matter?

Hi,mate . It is impossible to get good sound from a $50 pair of speakers. It can't be done. Also Japanese Speakers are way behind U.S. and British made speakers in sound quality.
I would say a minimum of $200 for a pair of speakers that sound good is required. Sometimes you can get great bargains on eBay for used speakers that are in excellent condition. (I have bought a lot of equipment on eBay with no problems)
Regards,Rob.
