I love spending time with family and cooking Christmas dinner at my grandparents...and having ice box cookies (yummy). Then during the winter, I love playing with my dog (Siberian Husky), he loves the cold weather. And I LOVE to shop and work on my scrapbooks and take pictures.

I was raised protestant, but I've always had some "Jew envy". I remember being hired to cater a family's Yom Kippur dinner and I was so moved by how the big, big family sat around eating SO MUCH FOOD, laughing, celebrating their culture and G-d during the holiday. They were using all the best silver and china, and they really seemed to have like a coziness in the fact that they had this "identity" that's celebrated. That's where the envy comes from I guess, LOL. It would be nice to have some kind of cultural and religious identity that makes me different and unique. Lots of food... mmmm :) Love that! Sorry if I sound ignorant or rude or anything like that. I really don't mean to, it's just that you don't see very many protestants standing tall being proud of their inherited culture and religion. But you definately do see this in other religions.

Honestly, my fav thing is to get in my jammies and put on Elf or A Year without a Santa Claus and get a nice glass/bottle of wine (I start with the glass and wind up drinking the bottle lol) and getting all the gifts and wrapping them. It starts off as a pain in the tooshie, but by the end of it, I feel accomplished, and can finally leave them somewhere my nephews wont find them lol

The best Christmas I remember is one we had when we wonted to put Jesus first. We had a birthday party for Jesus and instead of wrapping presents in paper we just lad them on the bed. We got each kid one present that they had ask for but we played games and ask Jesus questions and we give the gift when they won. we would give them the gift that they had ask for.anyway it was fun. We had a birthday cake made for Jesus and all.

Christmas shopping, picking out the best present for each one on my list and having them see how much thought went into it.
And getting peeved at all of the people who complain about the "commercialism" of Christmas who can't see past it.
