On most pants that I've worn, the letters YKK are printed on the zipper of the pants. Do these letters mean anything?

YKK is the name of one of the world's largest ZIPPER and fasterner company. It originated in Japan as Yoshida Kogyo Kabushikikaisha, and now has franchise factories in Indonesia and China. The company is quite old. Started in 1934.
