I voted FOR a candidate that i felt represented me best both times. Libertarian. I don't regret my votes at all. I am definitely disappointed in Bush and feel i would not only regret but would be pissed had Gore or Kerry been President any of the past 7 years.

So many times, the last few presidential elections especially, people vote for the lesser of 2 evils. if your candidate wins, then guess what? you get Evil. for those you that voted for Bush while holding your nose b/c you saw Kerry as the only other candidate, guess what? You're probably still holding your nose.

Do something novel this next election cycle: find a candidate that if FOR something and even more so.. FOR the things that you are for. In my case Libertarians are a very very acceptable option. And I WILL be supporting and voting FOR Ron Paul. My vote will not be AGAINST Hilary, or against Obama or against Rudy or Mitt, etc.

I will vote FOR someone that i believe in.

I v oted for President Bush twice and never regretted it. His first opponent Mr. Gore was too weak to confront the terrorists. The pickle queen's husband John Kerry was more interested in marrying wealth . The right choice was made in both cases. If President Bush had the Democratic support America would be much better off. The Dems practice politics for politics sake, not to represent the American public

don't regret voting for him but disappointed in his presidency; however, would have voted for someone else had there been someone better then Gore or Kerry. This question requires one to take into account Bush's compeition.

The real question is now that the situation in Iraq is improving, democrats are still intent on leaving. As an independent, I have to really stretch to convince myself that the leaders (note that I am NOT stating democrats in general) of the democrat party are not actively working toward a defeat in Iraq. While I have voted democrat, republican and independant, I cannot vote for politicans who are focused on the far left fringe of US society anymore then I can vote for a republican who is focused on the far right fringe of US society.

I voted for Bush twice and... as was said here I am VERY disappointed in his presidency.

I think Gore would have been far worse than Bush was... I am not so sure about Kerry though... not because I have a whole lot of respect for Kerry, but Bush has done such a stunningly bad job in his second term that I wonder how much worse Kerry would have been.

The best thing I can say about Bush is that he didn't appoint a liberal fool to the Supreme Court... then again he didn't appoint his first choice of Harret Miers either. Other than that, Bush has many of the same advantages one would have from having a beach ball, or a small furry mamal as President. Beach Balls don't take bribes. Beach Balls don't sexually harras their staff. Beach Balls don't raise taxes. Beach Balls don't mess up the economy by over regulating things. Beach Balls don't harm industry by paying off trial lawyers. Beach Balls don't compromse national security by trading secrets to China in exchange for campaign cash, and small furry mamals don't support idiotic bans on the private ownership of firearms that are baised on nothing more than how scary guns look on TV. In short Bush, the Beach Ball, or a small furry mamal are all better than Clinton.

But Bush has failed in a great many areas as well. He didn't do a thing to rein in Republican wasteful spending during the first six years of his term. . His administration has sucessfuly prevented at least 19 major terrorist attacks on the US since 9-11 and kept us from being attacked again... and that counts for a lot...but I doubt that the TSA, the Department of Homeland Security, and the billions that have been spent on them had a lot to do with it. He also got at least a rudimentary missile defence set up, and is going ahead with the next stage... but our photo recon sats are aging and our intelligence collection abilty is threatened by that. Missile Defense is perhaps the most important thing he's done as President... and he has been consistently, if ineffectively, pro-life. I like that.

He hasn't lifted a finger to go after the New York Times when it repeadedly gives aid and comfort to our enemies by publishing secrets on its front page in war timeInstead he wastes his time with silly and vindictive ploys like discrediting Vallery Plame and firing U.S. Attorney's for not making the investigation of Democrats their number one priority. The war in Iraq may or may not have been justified, but it was undoubtedly VERY badly run by Rumsfeld... and Bush kept Rumsfeld in office for years after the Admirals and Generals made it clear they had no confidence in the man. The Iraq war seems to be turning around, but it has also stretched our military to the breaking point, making it impossible for us to do anything about the much more serious threat from Iran.

I don't regret voting for Bush in 2000...(thank GOD Al Gore was not President on 9-11... and on 9-11 even Democrats were saying that... though not very loud). I do wish though that a REPUBLICAN had won the 2004 election instead of Bush.

I voted for President Bush twice, and no, I do not regret it. If the democratic party had nominated someone I felt a better candidate, I would have voted for him.
