Looks like they are finally going to get rid of that fraud Bonds*. I was beginning to think that they were too cowardly to do so. I hope every memory of him gets erased from the game. Then maybe we can get some good testing and some real records again.

McGwire didn't use steroids. He used Andro, an over the counter suppliment that was legal. He just didn't snitch on others that did steroids.

There is no possible way this is a great day for baseball. How can an event like this be good?

Gotta be the newsiest, noisiest November day in baseball history that didn't have a World Series ongoing (2001 only).

ARod still schmoozing with the Yankees -- the big story, of course, because it involves (a) Rodriguez, (b) Boras, sort of, (c) the Yankees, (d) Steinbrenners, and (e) $money!

Peavy takes the NL CYA unanimously.

Bonds indicted.

Selig manages to slide under the door the revenue record, $6.075 BILLION for the season. Yeah, tell me (on the whole) that no one can afford Rodriguez at $30M/year. Some team, more than one, certainly could have if it wanted. (I don't care what he ends up signing for.)

Rose, Jackson still ineligible.

I agree. If only they could have done something about Bonds before he broke the record. To the user that answered after me, I think they should go after McGwire and Canseco as well. I don't mention them that much, because they aren't active players anymore.

i agree..he should never had been aloud to play at all this season or any after...but he'll get his HOF..thats all he cared about..he has one thing on his mind...barry bonds and screw the rest of the ball players..amazing how a player is very good or gets close to a record it becomes all about that player..the media doesnt help...i want to watch a ball player that can break records or perform greatness on his own...it is a SAD day for sports..it is all about politics...i'm sure almost anybody in the sports world knew bonds was guilty even before the season started..so why did he even get to play at all..the big shots in sports (owners and presidents, etc) have to quit turning their heads away and start confronting these isswues..but all the owners care about is their profit..

I hate that they try to lump McGwire in with Bonds*. They do that for the sole purpose of trying to show that they are not racist or something. It is so stupid!

This is the biggest offseason day for years. A player opts out of his contract says he wants millions of dollars then resigns with his team and then the biggest jerk in baseball gets screwed for taking sterioids. Could this day get any better?

Do you remember who had the single season HR record before Bonds broke it in 2001? Mark McGwire...A STEROIDS USER! Why is it that everyone wants to crucify Barry Bonds but no one says anything about guys like McGwire and Jose Conseco, who were steroid junkies. It doesn't make any sense to me.
