joining the armed forces doesn't mean you like to fight, it's about having a sense of pride in yourself.

That question makes no sense. You can get violence, fear, and dying in any branch of the military. Besides, I have already served a lengthy term in the Army. If your question is about joining the Marines because you feel that they are the mightiest, remember that it takes all branches of the military to get the job done, not just the Marines. As far as your question on death goes, the following is a philosophy you may want to consider.
"If a general is ignorant of the principal of adaptability, he must not be entrusted with a position of authority. The skillful employer of men will employ the wise man, the brave man, the covetous man, and the stupid man. For the wise man delights in establishing his merit, the brave man likes to show his courage in action, the covetous man is quick as seizing advantages, and the stupid man has no fear of death."--Sun Tzu, Chinese Philosopher and Military Strategist
Edit: That's why I said "If", Bryson. I speculated, I did not accuse you.

thought of it, then decided to go for the navy and into the seal teams. Im hopping for seal team 10.
an yes to defend my country. On sep 11th i was in high school, but went to the sight later on that day. the next day i went to all the recruiter offices in town. Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force.
I went with the seal teams b.c they have the smallest numbers, the hardest training, and they were of the first in Afghanistan and Iraq. They also operate in other countries no one even knows were in. Covert and clandestine assignments

I would if they asked me to. Maybe even if they didn't. That's something I've never told anyone, but I think about it sometimes because it seems like the part of our services that I would be best for.

I wouldn't because... YES i am afraid of dying but what's worst for me is to do WHATEVER they want you to do. Having people controlling my every move.
I support the troops and admire them in so many ways. But the millitary is definately not something i would want to do.
but if i had to go and join it, i would... so that my family and others can have freedom.
