Yes it definitely hurt! The needle is big.
My body rejected mine and pushed the ring out after a few months.

Yes, I got mine done years ago and it hurt during and after. I had to undo the button on my jeans for a few weeks after I got it done to bear the pain. But I'm a bit of a wimp, so it's probably not all that bad really.

The only problem is that now I can't take the ring out, nor could a surgeon or two nurses when I got an operation a few years ago. If I want to change it, I'll have to get it cut off. Bear that in mind!

Don't be afriad, but the needle is big. Its hollow and slanted at the top to get out the skin. But it dosn't hurt at all, just don't look at it when their piercing it and don't look at your stomach after cause they leave the needle there for like a miniute. But it dosn't bleed or hurt I actually asked the guy of he did it when it was done. So don't worry, it'll turn out fine.

I have my belly button pierced and it did hurt and actually 4 years later it is still not completely healed and on top of that I have sensitive skin so I have to have at least 14K gold everywhere including my belly button - but still with all this I love it and cannot get myself to take it out.
I also have a tattoo and that was so much easier.

Don't listen to the people that said it really hurt. It doesn't really hurt. It's not as painless as earpiercing, although i'd say more painful than cartilidge piercing. Although if you plan to get pregnant anytime soon, DO NOT get one. I ended up getting pregnant about 2 months after and it pushed the ring completely out so now i have a scare down my belly button. But i have to say for 2 months i was pretty cool!!

It doesn't hurt as much as as you think it would..it’s like an intense shot. It’s really not that bad. It only sucks a little bit after because it gets kinda sore and irritated. Plus, maintaining it is such a pain in the ***…because it’s so easy to get infected. Don’t worry about the pain and it won’t hurt so much.

It hurt really bad. I squeezed my roomates hands so hard I left a a bruise. I took it out with my first preganny, and it left a nice little hole, although it doesn't go all the way through anymore, it looks more like a scar. Didn't feel like re-piercing it. Now I wish I hadn't done it all.

it hurt a little, but not any more then you would expect it to. it was deffinitly worth it though, the size of the standard belly button ring/needle is 14g.

Absolutely does not hurt
I got it about a year ago when I was 13
I'm not afraid of needle but, if you are the experience might be a little more intense for you ;)
